Optical enlightenment: the lighting design in Munich's subway stations

The design of public spaces in Munich is playing a more special role than ever as a location for art and culture. This also applies to "normal" buildings such as subway stations, some of which are minor works of art in their own right. Pay a visit to one of the subway stations like Westfriedhof, Münchner Freiheit or Marienplatz and you'll know what is meant.  The internationally renowned industrial designer Ingo Maurer has permeated the atmosphere there with his intensive color and lighting concepts. It may not shorten your wait for the next subway, but it significantly improves the quality of your stay and the well-being of the passengers.
